The Beholders

The Beholders combine a refreshingly new variety of rock and pop songs with original music played on AAA radio.  The energy and the integrity of their music transcends any ordinary event turning listeners into fans.  All types of audiences gravitate to the band from the first note whether they are performing in the background for cocktails or the forefront for dancing.

The group is led by Tom Wagenbrenner and Brian Wachhorst and includes seasoned professionals: Tommy Folen (bass), Tony Stead (B3) and Dennis Dismore (drums).  Tommy is a session bass player with diverse styles.  Tony most recently toured with Tommy Castro.  Diz was the drummer for Harvey Mandel.  Tom led The popular 1990s SF band The Distractions and toured with Buckeye.As a musician and vocalist, Brian Wachhorst was the founder and lead singer/guitarist of the power-pop quartet, The Aftershocks.  A 1993 SF Weekly reader’s poll named them as one of the ten most popular Bay Area bands along with Counting Crows and Cake.  Brian also co-founded the Bay Area headliner band YellowWood Junction in 1994 with his partner Tim Westergren who is the founder of Pandora.  YellowWood Junction performed regular sold out shows across the Western United States, sharing the stage with bands like Train, Third Eye Blind and Dave Matthews.  In 1995, KFOG featured Brian’s original music from the album “After Today” on their “10 O’clock News” radio broadcast which was the beginning of his AAA radio airplay.
